Cranberry Cherry Salad


I found this recipe from my friend Mildred's blog.  If you haven't visited her, you ought too.
I love her blog.  This was so good that I wanted to put it in this cookbook journal for my children and grands! Thank you Mildred! 

Cranberry Cherry Salad

1 large Cherry Jello
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1-16 oz. can of Jellied Cranberry Sauce
1 large can of crushed pineapple including juice
1 6 oz. package of Sunmaid dried tart cherries
Add boiling water to jello and stir until dissolved.
Add cranberry sauce and mix until smooth.
Add Pineapple and cherries. Chill until firm.

Easy & delicious!

Fried Cornbread

This is a great way to make cornbread that is easy and quick.
When I make pan cornbread I don't use an egg but when I fry cornbread I do.

1 cup of self rising cornmeal.
1 egg
Milk or buttermilk
Mix until a thick consistency that you can spoon out.

I have my pan with a little oil hot and ready.

These are so good and crunchy.
