Fried Cornbread

This is a great way to make cornbread that is easy and quick.
When I make pan cornbread I don't use an egg but when I fry cornbread I do.

1 cup of self rising cornmeal.
1 egg
Milk or buttermilk
Mix until a thick consistency that you can spoon out.

I have my pan with a little oil hot and ready.

These are so good and crunchy.

Mama used to make fried cornbread and I haven't thought about it in so long. Thanks for the memories.
