LAYERED SALAD

Salad Greens (We like Spring Mix)
Carrots
Celery
Roma Tomatoes
Olives (Black & Green)
Cucumbers
Mushrooms
Bell Pepper
Boiled Eggs
Frozen Green Peas (thawed halfway)

Layer, using greens first and then layer until you fill the bowl with anything that you love.. You can actually use whatever you like in a salad. Onions would be great but "Sweet Hunter" doesn't like them so I leave them out.
Salt & Pepper all throughout the salad while layering. I love freshly ground sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Top with a generous amount of Mayonaise + 1 tsp of sugar. Sprinkle with Parmesan and shredded chedder cheese. Let stay in refrigerator for 24 hours before serving. No need for dressing- it makes its own. This is a great make ahead salad.
Simple , but oh so good!

I make a version of this salad too, "same thing but different". I add a layer of finely chopped onion and leave out others. I think my recipe is called a 7-layer salad, thus 7 ingredients. It makes a huge bowl full so I usually only make it for group dinners. (We don't like it leftover after the lettuce gets wilty.) Having a separate blog for your cooking sounds like a great idea. I'll be back.
